Steel Plate Setup Guide

This guide walks you through stamping a 12, 15, 18, 21, or 24-word seed phrase into stainless steel. Take your time and verify every character as you go.

1. Prepare your workspace: Use a stable surface, good lighting, and keep your seed phrase out of view of cameras.
2. Choose your word count: Pick the matching layout for your 12, 15, 18, 21, or 24-word seed phrase on your plate(s).
3. Stamp one character at a time: Place the letter stamp into the alignment mold, confirm orientation, then tap firmly with a hammer.
4. Verify continuously: After each word, compare the stamped result with the original phrase before moving on.
5. Create redundancy: Use the second plate as a backup, or use a split strategy (see Storage Strategies).
6. Seal & store: Apply tamper‑evident seals and store in a secure, discreet location.
